Nikolay Kolesnikov (sprinter)
Nikolai Vasilyevich Kolesnikov (Russian Николай Васильевич Колесников, English transcription Nikolay Kolesnikov, . Born September 8, 1953 in Kargaly, now Kazakhstan) is a former Soviet sprinter.
At the Olympic Games in Montreal in 1976, he reached the semifinals over 200 m. In the 4 x 100 - meter relay team, he won the Soviet team bronze.
In 1978 he won at the Indoor Athletics Championships over 60 m. At the European Athletics Championships in Prague, he was seventh over 100m and took with the Soviet quartet bronze.
Three times he was Soviet Indoor Champion over 60 m ( 1977-1979 ) and once over 100 m ( 1978).
