Nils Lindberg

Nils Lindberg ( born June 11, 1933, Uppsala ) is a Swedish jazz composer, pianist and arranger.

Biography

Nils Lindberg was trained in classical composition at the Royal College of Music Stockholm. In his style, he involves the folk music of his native Dalarna. He worked both as a composer, arranger and pianist of contemporary classical music as jazz. 1973 appeared Dalmålningar 7, 1993, his work rekviem for choir. With musicians like Jan Allan, Allan Botschinsky, Idrees Sulieman, Eje Thelin, Lars Gullin, Herb Geller, Red Mitchell and others, he took since the early 1960s, numerous albums under his own name, was a sideman with Alice Babs, Duke Ellington in 1973 and accompanied the singer Karin Krog (1977 /80).
