Nindorf is a town in the Lower Saxon town of Bergen in the northern district of Celle on the Lüneburg Heath. It is located about 4 km north- west of Bergen and currently has 225 residents.

History

Nindorf was first mentioned in 1197 under the name of Villa Nendorpe.

On 1 January 1973 Nindorf was incorporated into the city of Bergen.

Districts of Nindorf are Widdernhausen and Nindorf. The village lies on the county road K 12, which runs from Bergen to Wietzendorf. Today, you will find both original old farmsteads, some still have old stairs storage, but also modern farmhouses.

Policy

Since 1973 Nindorf is a town of Bergen. Is represented by Nindorf Ortsrat and the mayor. The Ortsrat has, inter alia, decision-making powers for the situated in the village public facilities, is responsible for the appearance of the village and care of club life and needs to be heard by the city of Bergen on all important matters affecting the village. It is composed of five elected representatives, a native of Nindorf members of the municipal council and the mayor of the city of Bergen Bergen. The Ortsrat elect the mayor, current incumbent is Eckart Borges.
