Ninh Bình Province

Ninh Bình Tỉnh one of the smallest provinces in Vietnam. The capital is Ninh Binh. The average temperature is 23.4 ° C.

Geography

The Ninh Binh province is located in the south of the delta of the Red River, between the Red River and the Ma River. Bounded it is from the provinces Hòa Bình Nam and Định in the north, Ha Nam in the north- east and Thanh Hóa the south and west. The coastline on the Gulf of Tonkin is very short.

The cone karst landscape of the National Park Cuc Phương in the "dry Halong Bay " is located 56 km north of the city of Ninh Binh. The park was opened in 1962 as the first national park in Vietnam and is now the sixth largest national park in the country. Also worth seeing are the wetland nature reserve Vân Long Gia Vien District in the rice fields in the karst landscape of Tam Coc ("three caves ") with the Tam Coc cave and the Bich Ðộng Pagoda.

Demography

Infrastructure

The National Road 1A and 10 run through the province. Ninh Binh has a fast train to Hanoi capital 91 km away, and on bus routes to the south bus station in Hanoi. Fast trains to the south of the country to go to Thanh Hoa and Vinh. The river port of Ninh Phúc is the largest of Vietnam.

Culture and Crafts

Major festivals of the province are the Thai Vi -fest, celebrated in the third month of the lunar calendar in the commune of Ninh Hai district, Hoa Lư, the Truong Yen Festival, the Yen Cu Festival and the non Khe hard. Notable handicrafts are the embroideries from the district of Hoa Lư and reed work from Kim Sơn District.

Attractions

The ancient capital of the kingdom of Dai Co Việt and the citadel near Hoa Lư in the community Trường Yên are of particular historical interest. From here prevailed, founded by the governor of Ninh Binh, Dinh Linh Bó (also định Hoàn ), whose rulers name Hoàng Đình Tiên was, 968-1009 the second Vietnamese dynasty of Dinh and early Lê Dynasty. This was overthrown in 1009 by Ly Thai To, who moved the capital from Hoa Thang Long after Lư, now Ha Noi.

The old town of Ninh Binh and the stone church in Phát Diem Diem in the district Kim Sơn are well-known historical sites in Vietnam. Further noteworthy are caves and jungle Cuc Phuong in the district of Nho Quan, and Pagoda and Cave log in Long Thanh Gia, Gia Vien district. Other historic buildings: the pagodas Can Linh Banh and Long Nhat Tu and the Temple Thai Vi Dinh and Le.

Is currently being developed near Hoa Lư in the community Gia Sinh, Gia Vien district on 700 acres of the Bái định Pagoda, the largest pagoda and temple complex in Vietnam. In the lower Pagoda Dien Tho Phap Chu is the 100 -ton statue of Buddha largest in the country. To 1000th anniversary of Hanoi in 2010, construction work should be completed.
