Nino Tempo

Nino Tempo ( born January 6, 1937 in Niagara Falls, New York; actually Antonino Lo Tempio) is an American pop and jazz musician and actor.

Life and work

Tempo learned clarinet and tenor saxophone as a child in high school. Age of seven, he performed with Benny Goodman on television and later in films such as The Story of GI Joe (1945 ) Scandals (1945 ) or The Red Pony. He then worked as a studio musician and arranger for Frank Sinatra, Eydie Gormé, Steve Lawrence, and Maynard Ferguson, but continued to pursue the acting career with a starring role in The Glenn Miller Story (1954) and further appearances in The Girl Can not Help It ( 1956).
