Nirmala Srivastava

Nirmala Srivastava ( born March 21, 1923 in Chindwara at Nagpur, † February 23, 2011 in Genoa, Italy ) was an Avatar. She was the founder of Sahaja Yoga and is called by Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi their followers. The followers accept that she was the incarnation of Adi Shakti, Holy Ghost or the mother of the universe.

Her parents Prasad and Cornelia Salve were Protestant Christians. Her father was a lawyer and member of the pre-independence Indian legislature.

Life

At 17, she came to the Ashram of Mohandas Gandhi, where she remained until she was 19. She studied two years in Balakram Medical College in Lahore medicine. In 1947 she married Chandrika Prasad Srivastava, who soon worked as a secretary of the later Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri and later three legislative sessions until his retirement was Secretary-General for Maritime Affairs of the United Nations in London. Two daughters were born from this marriage.

In May 1970, it is to be succeeded after intensive meditation to open the Sahasrara chakra for the world, that is, to begin the seventh day of the creation story of what effect the possibility of Kundalini awakening ( self-realization ) on a broad scale. Since then she has devoted her life to passing on the awakening of the Kundalini world.
