Noadiah Johnson

Noadiah Johnson ( * 1795 in Connecticut, † April 4, 1839 in Albany, New York) was an American lawyer and politician. Between 1833 and 1835, he represented the State of New York in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Noadiah Johnson completed his preliminary studies. In 1817 he moved to Delaware County. He studied law. After receiving his license to practice law, he began practicing in Delhi. Johnson had from June 1825 until November 1833 the post of Attorney (English district attorney ) from the Delaware County held. He was one of the publishers of the Delaware Gazette.

Politically, he was a member of the Jacksonian Group. In the congressional elections of 1832 for the 23rd Congress Johnson was in the 20th electoral district of New York in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of Charles Dayan and Daniel Wardwell on March 4, 1833. He retired after the March 3, 1835 from the Congress.

After his time, he was sitting Congress from 1837 until his death on April 4, 1839 in the Senate from New York. His body was buried at the Old Delhi Cemetery, Delhi.
