The Nobel Library (Swedish Nobelbiblioteket or officially, Swedish Svenska Akademiens Nobelbibliotek, " Nobel Library of the Swedish Academy ") is the library of the Swedish Academy. It is public and is primarily used for evaluation of candidates for the Nobel Prize for literature and other Academy Awards.

The library is located since 1921 in the Exchange House ( Swedish BÖRSHUSET ) at Stortorget, a square in the old town of Stockholm.

The main aim of the library is the acquisition of mainly foreign literature and magazines, which are needed for evaluation of possible winners. With more than 200,000 media, she has one of the largest collections of fiction. The library is open to the public and available through interlibrary loan in the Nordic countries. Furthermore, it organizes lectures and seminars, as well as tours for groups if required.

She was first in a 10 - room apartment at Norra Bantorget in what was then " Vasaschloss " (Swedish Vasaborgen ), which was designed by Ferdinand Boberg. There, now houses the Landsorganisationen i Sverige ( LO ), the largest umbrella organization of trade unions in Sweden. Within the first five years of the portfolio grew to 15,000 works, and had the library for reasons of space after 20 years to move to their current home.
