Nocturne Records

Nocturne Records was a 1953 by the musicians Roy Harte and Harry Babasin based in Los Angeles independent record label. The label was one of the pioneering labels of the West Coast jazz. There, the first records of Bob Enevoldsen, Bud Shank, Lou Levy, Virgil Gonsalves and Jimmy Rowles were published. Also included recordings of Conley Graves, Earl Hines, Harry Babasin, Herbie Harper, Peggy Connelly and Steve White to catalog the label, which was merged in March 1955 with Liberty Records and continued there in the series Jazz in Hollywood.
