Noé Jitrik

Noé Jitrik ( born January 23, 1928 in Rivera, Buenos Aires Province) is an Argentine literary critic, editor and writer.

Jitrik began in 1947, inter alia, To study literature at the Universidad de Buenos Aires ( UBA) and was able in 1952 to successfully complete this study. Following this, he worked for several years as a responsible publisher and editor for various magazines such as " Centro ", " Zona " and " Cotorno ".

As such, he was soon on the modern Argentine literature or literary criticism as one of the most important people. In 1960 he accepted a professorship at the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, where he became a professor of Argentine literature. As in 1966, General Juan Carlos had Onganía coup to power, Jitrik lost all offices and was declared persona non grata.

Therefore Jitrik went to the U.S. and Europe and was a guest lecturer at several universities there. When Alejandro Agustín Lanusse introduced in 1973 democratic elections in view, Jitrik came back to Argentina. His political desires are not fulfilled, there came General Juan Perón in October 1973 to power. Jitrik was a partisan of Peronism, so he emigrated to Mexico in the spring of the following year. There he was, inter alia, as a lecturer at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México ( Mexico City) entrusted.

1987 Jitrik returned to Buenos Aires and took up an appointment at the UBA. As a professor, he headed there for a few years, the Instituto de literatura hispano americana.
