Noël Akchoté
Noël Akchoté ( born December 7, 1968 in Paris ) is a French guitarist.
Akchoté plays since he was eight years guitar. He originally started with jazz and played with musicians such as Henri Texier, Marc Ribot, Jacques Thollot, Jean Mereu, Phil Minton, Max Nagl or Steven Bernstein (Big Four Live, 2005). Its current style can be outlined only roughly with avant-garde and free improvisation. He published experimental electronica ( Rien ), Sonny Sharrock tributes to ( Sonny II) and Kylie Minogue ( So Lucky ) and other works. In his main label Winter & Winter, he also acted as Musical Director of thematic projects, the so-called audio movies. Furthermore Akchoté works as a producer and label owner ( Rectangle ) and writes for several online music publications including the All Music Guide. His brother is the French electro musician SebastiAn.
