Noel Coonan

Noel J. Coonan (Irish Nollaig Ó Cuanáin; born January 6, 1951) is an Irish politician and since 2007 a ​​deputy in Dáil Éireann, the lower house of the Irish Parliament.

Coonan was elected to the North Tipperary County Council and in 1994 the Urban District Council of Templemore in 1991. He was re-elected in both 1999. Following an unsuccessful bid for a seat in Dáil Éireann in 2002 Coonan was able to win a mandate for the 22th Seanad Éireann for Fine Gael.
