Noël Delfosse

Noël Joseph Auguste Delfosse (* 1801 in Liege, † February 22, 1858 ) was a Belgian politician.

Biography

Delfosse studied law and settled as a lawyer in his native town down. As a representative of liberalism, he was after the secession of Belgium from the Netherlands only in the municipal council, elected in 1836 to the provincial estates committee and 1840 for representatives of the city of Liège in the chamber. He retained his seat in unbroken succession, in 1848 elected a vice president of the chamber and remained in that office until 1852. His resolute character and his persuasive eloquence established his political influence in the years 1848 and 1849, where he worked mainly as meaning Belgium to the influences of the French movement to secure.
