Noel Freeman

Noel Freeman ( Frederick Noel Freeman, born December 24, 1938 in Preston, Queensland ) is a former Australian touring.

At the Olympic Games in Rome in 1960, he won the 20 km Walk the silver medal in 1:34:16,4 h after Volodymyr Holubnytschyj from the Soviet Union ( 1:34:07,2 h ) and before the British Stan Vickers ( 1:34: 56.4 h). In the 50 km Walk he was disqualified. In 1964 he was at the Olympic Games in Tokyo in fourth over 20 km, and in 1970 he won at the British Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh Gold over 20 miles.

Six times he was Australian champion over two miles or 3000 m (1959, 1960, 1962-1964, 1968), twice about 20 km (1963, 1970) and once about 50 km ( 1960).
