Nonius (crater)

Nonius is an impact crater in the southern lunar front side, southeast of Mare Nubium, north of the crater Fernelius and southeast of Walter, whose edge he touches. The crater is heavily eroded.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the Portuguese mathematician Pedro Nunes.
