Norddeutscher Regatta Verein

The North German Regatta Association is a sailing club based in Hamburg.

It was founded in 1868 and has 1,918 members (2007).

It is the home club of numerous participants in European and World Championships and Olympic Games. So won the Alfried Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach, Hans Howaldt, Felix Scheder - Bieschin, Eduard Mohr, Otto Fritz Bischoff and wax as crew of the Germania III at the 1936 Olympic Games bronze in the 8mR class. Better cut off Werner Krogmann, who sailed in the O- Jolle the silver medal. With the gold medal in the Star class Peter Bischoff and Hans -Joachim manner crowned the track record of the NRV.

The NRV has co-founded, among other sailing events such as the Kiel Week and the Travemünde Week and was most recently in 2007 he initiated the organizer of HSH Nordbank blue race.
