Norman Müller

Norman Müller ( born August 7, 1985 in Eisleben ) is a German track and field athlete, who competes in the decathlon. He starts Halle Athletics friends for the club, began in June 2005, his training as a federal police in the central service at the Federal police power sports project in Cottbus.

Career and success

He went at the age of eight years as athletics club SSV Eisleben. In the sixth grade he moved to the sports school Halle / Saale.

His first successes came at the German Championships 2002 in Berlin, where he became German Vice Champion. Furthermore, it was 2006, 2007 and 2009, German Vice Champion. He became German champion in the hall in 2005. Other achievements include:

  • 2nd place in the decathlon of the Youth B in Berlin
  • 3rd place at the IAAF World Junior Championships in 2004 (Italy )
  • 3rd place in the U23 European Championships 2005 ( Erfurt)
  • Participation in the 2007 World Championships ( Osaka )
  • Participation in the 2009 World Championships (Berlin)
  • 7th place at the European Championships 2012 ( Helsinki) with 8003 points

On 6 August 2009, he increased his personal best to 8295 points.
