North Hero is a town in the state of Vermont in the United States and the administrative center ( county seat ) of Grand Isle County. With only 803 inhabitants ( according to the census of 2010) it is the second smallest county seat of Vermont after Guildhall. North Hero is on one of the larger islands in Lake Champlain on the border of New York State, and twenty miles south of the Canadian border.
