North Mississippi Allstars

The North Mississippi Allstars are a blues-rock jam band from Hernando, Mississippi. The band has been nominated three times for a Grammy, her 2005 album Electric Blue Watermelon reached number one in the Billboard Blues charts.

The band consists of the brothers Luther (guitar, vocals, cigar box guitar) and Cody Dickinson ( drums) and Chris Chew ( bass). The second guitarist Duwayne Burnside has now left the band. Burnside is the son of blues legend R. L. Burnside, who played even with a few pieces of tape.

Guitarist Luther Dickinson played 2007, lead guitar on the album Warpaint the Black Crowes, and increased in 2008 as a live guitarist in the band. He replaced Marc Ford, who had left the band in 2006 and was replaced by transitional Paul Stacey.

Cody Dickinson formed a side project called Hill Country Revue with musicians Chris Chew, Kirk Smith Hart, Ed Cleveland and Daniel Robert Coburn.
