North Yuba AVA

North Yuba AVA ( recognized since 23 July 1985) is an American Viticultural Area in the U.S. state of California. The area is located in the administrative area of ​​Yuba County, northwest of Nevada City. The vineyard is located at the foot of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The soil is predominantly of volcanic origin and the rock formations are mostly from plutonic Intrusivkörpern. Renaissance Vineyard and Winery is bestockter with 18 hectares of vineyards of the largest winery in the region. On terraced ground are mainly the Mediterranean grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Grenache, Viognier and Roussanne.

Climate

Since the area is 150 km from the coast of the Pacific, it is often very hot in midsummer.
