The Northwest Regional Airport Terrace - Kitimat is a regional airport in the Canadian province of British Columbia. It is in the time zone UTC-8 (DST -7). Operator of the airport is the Terrace - Kitimat Airport Society.

Location

The regional airport is located about 6 kilometers south of Terrace and about 56 north of Kitimat. East of the airport runs of Highway 37 and north of the airport flows of the Skeena River.

History

The airport was built in 1943 as part of a national defense plan. 1946, the airport was handed over to the national Ministry of Transport.
