NoteEdit

NoteEdit is a free music notation program for GNU / Linux.

It supports ( polyphonic ) votes in unlimited number and length, MIDI playback of written notes, chords, lyrics and includes a number of import and export filters to many formats like MIDI, MusicXML, ABC, MUP (Music Publication Program), PMX, MusiXTeX and LilyPond.

It is suitable as a graphical interface for entering notes whose print version you still can optimize the powerful set of programs LilyPond or MusiXTeX.

NoteEdit is written in C , using the Qt library and the K Desktop Environment ( KDE) involved for Unix.

The developers of NoteEdit now working on a new project called canorus to be the successor of NoteEdit, and the current for various operating systems is available.
