Nová Sedlica

Nová Sedlica ( until 1927 slovak " Novosedlica "; Hungarian Újszék - to 1902 Novoszedlica - 1939-1945 Novaszedlica, russinisch Новоселиця / Nowoselizja ) is a municipality in eastern Slovakia. It is located in the mountains Bukovské Hills near the border triangle of Poland - Ukraine - Slovakia on the mountain Kremenec, about 43 km from Snina. It is the easternmost community in the province.

The village was first mentioned in 1630 as Nouoszelicze. From 1939 to 1945 she was part of Hungary and was named Novaszedlica.

The municipal area is the Stužica, a nature reserve in the National Park Poloniny, which is since 2007 a ​​UNESCO World Heritage natural monument.
