Novi Fosili

Novi fosili are a Yugoslav and Croatian music group.

The group was founded in 1969 and had its first success in 1976, after being invited to the festival in Split. The interface presented Diridonda song was a hit in the former Yugoslavia. Rajko Dujmic, in 1976, added Come composer, proved to be a windfall for the group that enjoyed success at many national festivals.

Novi fosili were one of the most popular groups in the region and received many awards. They were a few years awarded as a group of the year. They brought in this period out 15 singles and 6 LPs, some of which were a hit.

There was a variety of tours nationally, and in the former USSR, the USA, Canada and some European countries.

In 1983, the singer of the group, Đurđica Barlovic replaced by the younger singer Sanja Dolezal. Even with the new cast many hits were produced. In 1986, she celebrated a success at the festival in Dresden, where they got the 3rd place of the jury.

In 1987, the group represented Yugoslavia at the Euro Vision Song Contest with the song Ja sam za ples and reached the fourth place. The single was released in 9 European countries.

In October 2001, the Group announced its resolution have been known to join forces in 2005. In the new - old composition can be found both Sanja Dolezal and Vladimir Kočiš - Zec again. In this composition, they produce the album " Za dobra stara vremena " ( " In the good old days "). The song of the same name is one of their biggest hits in Croatia.
