Nowogród Bobrzański

Nowogród Bobrzański [ nɔvɔgrut bɔbʒansci ] ( German Naumburg on the Bober ) is a small town in Lower Silesia on the eastern shore of the Bober. It is located today in the west of Poland and belongs to the district Grünberg ( powiat Zielonogórski ) in the Lubusz Voivodeship ( WojewĂłdztwo Lubusz ).

History

The city was founded in 1202 and received city rights in the 13th century. In the town consisted of 13 century a monastery of the Augustinian Canons.

The east of Sommerfeld ( Lubsko ), this town had 1250 inhabitants in 1939. Since 1945 Naumburg belongs to Poland. After the war, Naumburg was almost completely destroyed and lost to 1988 the city rights.

Since 1988, the city is associated with the located on the western shore Bober in Lower Lusatia city Krzystkowice ( Christian city).
