NSB El 11

The El 11 is an electric locomotive of the Norwegian State Railways NSB.

The class was built in two series and is based on drafts of the SLM ( bogie ) and BBC ( electric control ). The Series 11 was built during 1951-1956, the series El 11b was built in 1963-64. Visually, the two series differ by the front wheels, which are two-piece three-piece and 11b at 11a. The series 11b also has the same electrical equipment such as the El 13 and multiple unit control.
