Features

The American pond rose is a perennial aquatic plant with a rhizome, which usually has a diameter of 5 to 10 cm and grows in water depths of 70 to 80 centimeters. The petiole is round or flattened upper side weak. The Schwimmblattspreite is broadly ovate to almost circular, measuring 12 to 40 × 7 to 30 inches, and is 1.2 times as long as wide.

The hermaphroditic, radial symmetry flowers have a diameter of 2.5 to 5 centimeters. There are usually six sepals present. There are many spirally arranged petals present. The most green fruits are 2-5 inches tall. The seeds are 3 to 6 mm.
