Nurullah SaÄŸlam

Nurullah Sağlam ( born January 28, 1966 in Gaziantep ) is a former Turkish football player and current coach.

Club career

Sağlam began his career at Gaziantepspor. There he played six years and celebrated with the club including the promotion to the Süper Lig After his time for Gaziantepspor he played at Kayserispor, Elazığspor and Edirnespor.

Coaching career

From 1999 to 2003 Nurullah Sağlam worked as an assistant coach at Gaziantepspor. In January 2003 he was promoted to head coach. At the end of the 2004/05 season left Sağlam Gaziantepspor. For the season 2005/ 06 he was set at Karşıyaka SK, but he was released after the 5th Round. He returned that same season back in the Süper Lig with Denizlispor he succeeded on the last match against Fenerbahce relegation. Nevertheless Sağlam left in the following season and coached Denizli henceforth Konyaspor.

In February 2008 he returned to Gaziantepspor and was employed there until March 2009. There followed for Sağlam again a return. He took over for the second time the head coach post near Denizlispor. On September 12, 2009, he went to his job and was discharged eight weeks later.

Since October 2010 Nurullah Sağlam is coach at Mersin Idman Yurdu. In the 2010/11 season with his team he managed the championship of the TFF 1 Lig and so after 29 years of promotion to the Süper Lig Immediately after the 2-1 home win against Akhisar Belediyespor it was announced that the contract with Sağlam was dissolved by mutual agreement. Four days later, as his successor Giray Bulak was presented.
