NUTS of Belgium
As NUTS: BE or NUTS regions in Belgium is called the territorial arrangement of Belgium according to the European " Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics (NUTS)".
Basics
In Belgium, the three NUTS levels are assigned as follows:
- NUTS -1: the three regions;
- NUTS -2: the 10 provinces and the Brussels-Capital Region, whose territory since 1995 belongs to no longer Province;
- NUTS -3: the 43 districts or counties (sometimes mistakenly called arrondissements ), the district of Verviers is divided into two ( one hand municipalities of the French language area, on the other communities in the German -language area coincides with the area of German-speaking Community of Belgium that).
