Nyalam County

Nyalam (聂拉木 县; pinyin: Nièlāmù Xiàn; tibet གཉའ་ལམ་རྫོང་; Wylie: . Gnya ' lam rdzong, Nyalam Dzong ) is a county in the Tibet Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China. He belongs to the administrative area of the district of Shigatse. In 1999 he was one of 14,073 at the end of 2010, around 20,000 inhabitants.

Infrastructure

Main Street is the Friendship Highway piece as part of National Road 318 It connects Nyalam with Lhasa and on the Sino - Nepal Friendship Bridge at the border to Nepal with Kathmandu.

Miscellaneous

The county government has its seat in the large village Nyalam (聂拉木 镇). Right on the border with Nepal is the greater community Zham ( Zhangmu樟木 镇zhen ) ( Tib: Dram, nep. Khasa ), one of the two habitats of the people of the Sherpa in China.
