Nykroppa

Nykroppa is a place ( tätort ) in the municipality in the province of Värmland County Filipstad in Sweden.

Nykroppa is approximately 13 kilometers south-east of the lake Filipstad Mögsjön. The Riksväg 26 and Inlandsbanan and Bergslagsbanan through the village. Already in the 16th century mining was operated at Nykroppa. Was first mentioned in 1540 Nykroppens hytte. End of the 19th century large industrial enterprises. Their decline began in the 1950s.

Nykroppa has together with the five kilometers away Gammalkroppa own parish, the kroppa socks.
