Filipstad Municipality
Filipstad is a municipality (in Swedish kommun ) in the Swedish province of Värmland County, the historical province of Värmland. The main town of the municipality is Filipstad.
Economy
Filipstad belongs to the Bergslagen mining district of central Sweden. On the territory of the municipality there are a number of mines and smelters, but these are now closed - the last mines in Nordmark and Persberg were closed in 1980.
