Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley AVA ( recognized since 25 February 2004) is an American Viticultural Area in the U.S. state of California and is part of the regional Napa Valley AVA. The area lies at the southern end of the Napa Valley. Its proximity to the Bay of San Pablo wine region benefited Los Carneros AVA of like the cool morning mists and the fresh sea breezes. This can even early maturing varieties such as Riesling and Pinot Noir thrive but without special finesse to achieve. Oak Knoll District, however, is known for delicate Chardonnay wine.
