Oberhof Ballenstedt

The Oberhof Ballenstedt is in the same town in Saxony -Anhalt, right next to the town hall.

Nowadays, a palace, the Oberhof was once a fortified city castle, since its construction in the 16th century in the fief of the builders, the Lords of Stammer, was. Their grave stones and epitaphs from the 16th century are still in the Ballenstedter Nikolai Church.

Inside the late Gothic three-wing building the cross vaults are still preserved on the ground floor from the building time. The connecting passage between the western and eastern wing was added in the 19th century.

1869 acquired ARMGARD of Alvensleben from the house Neugattersleben possession, put on the 15,000 m² park, leaving the Oberhof 1920 Alvensleben'schen Family Foundation.

Since 1948 there was a daycare home. Today he is again in possession of the family of Alvensleben.
