Oberto Pallavicino

Oberto Pallavicino (* 1197, † 1269 ) was an Italian Signore.

Pallavicino supported loyal Emperor Frederick II against Pope Gregory IX. and held several imperial items ( including as imperial vicar ). He was next Ezzelino da Romano, one of the leading Ghibellines, however, was the defeat of Ezzelino of Cassano ( September 6, 1259 ) involved. He was regarded as the undisputed leader since the Imperial Empire in Italy in 1260 and captain-general of Milan. He succeeded also Alessandria, Pavia, Tortona, Brescia, Cremona and Piacenza to integrate its sphere of influence, even if only for a short time.

When Charles of Anjou marched into Lombardy, Pallavicino fought him, but without success. An attempt in 1266 to gain control of Parma failed.
