Object-Modeling Technique

The Object Modeling Technique ( OMT, Eng. Object Modeling Technique ) is an object modeling language for modeling and design of software.

It was designed around 1991 by James Rumbaugh, Mike Blaha, Bill Premerlani, Fred Eddy, and Bill Lorensen, to support the development of object -oriented systems and general object-oriented programming.

From today's perspective, the OMT historical value primarily as a precursor to the now widely established as a standard Unified Modeling Language.
