Odenplan metro station
Odenplan is an underground station of the Stockholm Metro. It is located in Vasastaden district. The station is served by the Gröna linjen the Stockholm subway system. The central location in the city center make the station into one of the most frequented stations of the metro network. On a normal working day 24,000 commuters to climb here.
The station was taken on October 26, 1952, in operation, when the metro section Hötorget Vällingby was inaugurated. The platforms are about nine meters below ground. The station is located between the stations Rådmansgatan and St. Erik plan. Stockholm Central Station is about 2 km.
The currently under construction Citybanantunnel, which runs below the Stockholm center, gets an underground stop at Odenplan on which keep the Pendeltågzüge direction of Stockholm Central Station and Märsta. The station under Vasastan will consist in the first stage of an agent platform with two tracks. An extension by a second platform on four tracks is possible at a later date.
