Old Blind Dogs

Old Blind Dogs is a Scottish folk band founded in 1990 with influences from rock music. Formative are dynamic percussions, violin intensive use, Bagpipestücke, vocals and " Scottish " Bouzoukiklänge.

On the occasion of the Scots Trad Music Awards in 2004 and 2007 they received the award Folk Band of the Year. The band is touring constantly through the United States and Europe.

Even after 18 years of existence, the Old Blind Dogs understood as "vital and innovative ambassadors" of traditional Scottish music. Subtle and imaginative they extend traditional music aspects to more rhythmic structures, dynamic arcs and structural expansions. This peculiar timbres can be achieved in the consequence which combines the musical legacy of Scottish ancestry with the band's typical echo current sounds.

In 2010, the formation at Gran 's House Studio in the Scottish Lamington the tenth studio album named Wherever Yet May Be on - this, together with the 2008 band pounded Piper Ali Hutton. The CD includes six new pieces by Ali Hutton and traditional pieces from the repertoire of Gordon Duncan, Fred Morrison, Jamie Smith and many more.
