Oleg Piganovich

Oleg Konstantinovich Piganowitsch (Russian Олег Константинович Пиганович; born May 12, 1985 in Yaroslavl, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who is under contract with HK Donbass Donetsk in the Kontinental Hockey League since May 2013.

Career

Oleg Piganowitsch began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of Lokomotiv Yaroslavl. After he left the club played the defender from 2001 to 2005 per two years for the second teams of the capital club Krylia Sovetov Moscow and HK CSKA Moscow in the third-class Perwaja league. He subsequently played in the next two seasons for the professional teams of HK Dmitrov and Chimik Woskressensk in Wysschaja League, the second Russian league.

For the season 2007/ 08 changed Piganowitsch for HC Traktor Chelyabinsk from the Super League, for in the Kontinental Hockey League newly established he was on the ice from 2008 to 2010. From the beginning of the 2010/11 season he played until December 2011 for its domestic rivals Spartak Moscow and HK was there during the 2011/12 season team captain Spartak.

In December 2011 Piganowitsch joined Amur Khabarovsk, for whom he played 38 KHL games in the series. In November 2012, the HK Avangard Omsk Alexei Kuznetsov and Evgeny Orlov swapped Piganowitsch because the Omsk management was looking for a play strong defense. After the end of the 2012/13 season Piganowitsch moved to HK Donbass Donetsk.
