Olivia MFSK

Olivia MFSK is a telex mode in amateur radio.

Olivia was published in 2004 by the Polish physicist and radio amateur Paweł Jałocha (call sign SP9VRC ). It is suitable for difficult transmission conditions, such as on shortwave are typical ( low signal -to-noise ratio and multipath ). The signal can be decoded when it is 10 dB lower than the noise.

The signal is sent using multiple frequency shift keying ( MFSK ) and a forward error correction (FEC ). Olivia A signal can have different formats, is often used a bandwidth of 1000 Hz with 32 tones. The baud rate is then 31.25.
