Olomouc District

The Okres Oloumouc ( German district of Olomouc) is a town in the Olomouc Region of the Czech Republic. The Okresy were roughly comparable to the districts in Germany, the district administrations were dissolved on 31 December 2002.

The largest district of the district is located in northern Moravia and covers the area north of the city of Olomouc as well as parts of the Oder Mountains as well as the level of Hornomoravský úval, through which the river flows March with its tributaries.

History
