Ömer Çatkıç

Ömer Çatkıç (* October 15, 1974 in Eskişehir ) is a former Turkish football goalkeeper. Through his many years of service and the success achieved for Gaziantepspor he is strongly associated with this club. So it is with 211 games, the player with the most Erstligaeinsätzen for Gaziantepspor.

Playing career

Association

Çatkıç played from 1997 to 2004 for the Turkish club Gaziantepspor. His good performances at club level earned him several times appointed to the cadres of the Turkish national team. With the Football World Cup 2002 in Japan / South Korea, he came in the group match against China for use. In summer 2004, he signed a contract with Gençlerbirliği, where he played for two years. In the season 2006/ 07 he came to some inserts for Bursaspor in the Süper Lig, before he returned in July 2007 to his youth club Gaziantepspor. After a year he left the club and played in July 2008 the Turkish first division club Antalyaspor.

For the 2012/13 season his move to second division Karşıyaka SK was announced. This change came later but not concluded. It was then announced a change to the second division Denizlispor. This change also turned out to be speculation. Çatkıç was little later, the end of his active career soccer goalkeeper known.
