Omnia (band)

Omnia ("all "; neuter plural of Latin: omnis, "everyone" ) is a music group from the Netherlands, which can be assigned to the genre Pagan Folk. Omnia is the abbreviation for the exclamation " Omnia chaos est " (Latin for "everything is Chaos" ), a slogan of the band.

History

In 1996, Steve Evans - van der Harten and Louis Aubri - Krieger Omnia as a group, the Northern European Celtic and Roman Music ( the end of the Iron Age / beginning of the Empire ) tried to revive. Performances took place until 2002 mainly in major European museums. In 2002, Jennifer Evans - van der Harten band member, the historical concept was shelved. The music oriented since then to neo- Celtic theme and style. 2005, the Irishman Joseph Hennon, the Omnia was already supported on the CD Crone of War as a guest musician, a permanent member. With Michel Rozek 2008, a new percussionist was added to the band, he left her, however, already 2009. His successor was Tom Spaan. Further change in the line followed in 2010, when Philip Steenbergen was a member of the group and Louis Aubri - Krieger left end of Omnia. 2011 came Maral Haggimoni added as a second vocalist. Daphyd Sens replaced Louis Aubri - Krieger in the same year on Slideridoo, Tom Spaan left the band. In addition, the band has performed at several festivals in 2011, about witches dance festival, dance festival, fire, horns Festival, Festival Mediaval, Mera Luna Festival, Burgfolk. Rob van Barschot, a new percussionist, was added to the band. End of the year Maral Haggimoni left the band. 2012 published Omnia the live album Live on Earth. 2013 was Philip Steenbergen his intention to leave. The band is currently working on some new songs as part of a new album.
