On My Way (film)

Madame recommended is a film by the French director Emmanuelle Bercot. It is about a woman who breaks away from their everyday lives and at the end of a journey through France finds a new love for a man of his own family. It had its premiere in competition at the 63rd Berlin International Film Festival.
Action
Bettie, early 60's and once "Miss Brittany ", lives and works with her mother at a restaurant. However, they weigh financial difficulties and the great interest of her mother Bettie private life. It affects her greatly, as her mother ( as Bettie seems) reported with poorly hidden joy that the man with whom Bettie has a long-standing affair, has a new much younger lover found. During a trip in a car that was originally intended only for cigarettes buy, but then takes longer and longer meets Bettie people in a different environment and removed thereby spatially and emotionally more and more of her previous life. While she is still on the way, calls Bettie's daughter and asks her to take her son Charly, so Bettie grandson to go to her father Alain. Bettie says spontaneously. Grandmother and grandson found on the journey to more difficult situations to a good relationship. Bettie takes Charly with a photo shoot with other former regional beauty queens. After them there felt faint, she is unable to continue driving, and Alain must come to pick up Charlie, making him very angry. Since Bettie her grandson does not want to leave him alone under these circumstances, she drives. As well as the other family members arrive, it comes to the debate. Finally, Bettie falls even in Alain and recognizes: "Life goes on."

The film was shown on 15 and 16 February 2013, the competition at the International Film Festival in Berlin.
