One America Plaza

The One America Plaza is a skyscraper in San Diego, California and the tallest building in the city. It is located on the corner of West Broadway and India Street.

Nature

The building is 152.4 meters (500 ft) high, which corresponds exactly to the maximum allowable height of a building in San Diego. It has 34 floors and has a floor space of 58529 square meters. On the ground floor there is the America Plaza Trolley Bus Station, located between the main building and the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego.

History

The tower was completed in 1991 and opened. The architect was Murphy / Jahn Inc. in cooperation with KMA Architecture. Owner is currently the company Irvine Company, which acquired it in February 2006 for 300 million U.S. dollars.
