One Raffles Place

OUB Centre ( Overseas Union Bank Centre, Chinese:华联 银行 大厦) is the name of a 280 meter-high skyscraper in the city -state of Singapore. The skyscraper built in 1986 is one of the United Overseas Bank ( UOB ), after which it is named. Designed by the architect Kenzo Tange skyscraper at the time of its completion the tallest building outside North America and could this item for four years until it was dominated by the Bank of China Tower in Hong Kong. Singapore is almost on the equator, no heating system is installed in the building.

Due to flight safety regulations are no structures may be erected in Singapore that are higher than 280 m. This leads to the somewhat remarkable circumstance that the three tallest buildings in Singapore have exactly the same height. The OUB Centre shares its first place with the UOB Plaza One built in 1992 and in 1995 completed Republic Plaza.
