One Step

One Step ( Engl.: " One Step ") is a pop song which was composed by Mark Berry; the ( English title despite German ) text written beside him Martina Siber. It was the Austrian contribution to the Euro Vision Song Contest 1997. Was the song sung by Bettina Soriat.

The song is an upbeat number in which the singer sings that her partner " should not go a step too far, or else she was gone." Soriat also sings that her love is not like a " dishonored check " is.

One Step was sung in the contest as the fourth contribution to San Francisco Tor Endresen for Norway and before Mysterious Woman by Marc Roberts for the Republic of Ireland. At the end of the song reached number 21 with 12 points in 25 participants.

The song did not reach the charts.
