Opawskie Mountains

The Zuck Manteler Bergland, also Oppagebirge (Czech: Zlatohorská Highlands, formerly Severní Podhoří Hrubého Jeseníku, Jindřichovské Podhoří or Opavska highlands; Polish: Opawskie Mountains ) is a mountain country in the northeast of the Czech Republic and southern Poland.

Location

The hill country is part of the mountain range of the Jeseníky Mountains and is located in the north of Moravia- Silesia and southeast of Upper Silesia. It is adjacent to the eastern part of Reichensteiner Mountains ( Rychlebské hory / Gory Złote ). In the northwest it borders on the Friedeberger Bergland ( Žulovská pahorkatina / Przedgórze Paczkowskie ). To the north, the hill country falls to Ottmachauer Valley ( Vidnavská nížina / Obniżenie Otmuchowskie ) and in the east to Leobschützer Lößhügelland from ( Opavska pahorkatina / Płaskowyż Głubczycki ). South of the Lower dies ( Nízký Jeseník ) and in the southwest the Altvatergebirge ( Hruby Jeseník ) joins.

Politically, there is the mountain range on the border between Poland and the Czech Republic. The Polish part belongs to the province of Opole and extends to the area of ​​the cities and the villages Prudnik and Głuchołazy Jarnołtówek, Pokrzywna, Łąka Prudnicka, Moszczanka, Trzebina, Skrzypiec, Dytmarów, Krzyżkowice, Dębowiec, Opawice, Lenarcice, Krasne Pole, Chomiąża, Pietrowice, Ciermięcice, Pielgrzymów, Dobieszów, Gołuszowice, Zopowy, Zubrzyce, Wlodzienin, Lewice, Bliszczyce and Branice. The Czech part covers 527 km ² and is located in the border area between the Moravian-Silesian Region and Olomouc Region. In this part, among others, are the villages of Zlaté Hory, Rejviz and Mikulovice.

In Zuck Manteler Bergland rivers Elsnitz spring ( Olešnice / Białka ) Goldoppa ( Opawica / Opavice ) Ossa ( Osoblažsko / Osobłoga ) and Prudnik ( prudnik ). The Valley of the Biele ( Bela / Biała Głucholaska ) forms the west, the natural border with the Reichensteiner Mountains.

Subdivision

The hill country is divided into three geomorphological subunits. These are the Belska pahorkatina ( Biela Hill Country ), Hynčická hornatina (Heinz villages Bergland ) and the Rejvízská hornatina ( Reihwiesener Bergland ).

The Polish as Opawskie Mountains designated portion has no homogeneous rock structure and consists of two separate sink through the Ottmachauer foothills of Belska pahorkatina and Hynčická hornatina. This part is distinguished by the highest elevations in the six Massive Parkowa Góra, Biskupia Kopa, Olszak, Długota, Lipowiec and Graniczny Wierch.
