Operation Sail

Operation Sail (Short form: OpSail or Op Sail ) refers to several sailing events that are held on special occasions and attended by sailing ships from around the world. Each of these events is coordinated by Operation Sail, Inc.. This nonprofit organization was founded in 1961 by the then President of the United States, and must be regularly confirmed by the Congress of the United States.

The aim of the events is on the background of the celebration of the maritime history and the training referred to in Sail training to strengthen international understanding and cooperation between the countries.
