Order of Louise

The Royal Prussian Louise North ( also: Luise north) was the highest lady north of the Kingdom of Prussia.

The Order was founded on August 3, 1814 during the Wars of Liberation against Napoleon I of King Friedrich Wilhelm III. donated in memory of his deceased wife, Queen Louise in 1810.

In the deed of foundation you wrote:

The religious character of the original Louise einklassigen North was a black enamelled gold cross. In the metaverse center medallion, which was enamelled sky blue, was located within a circle of stars, the monogram "L". 1814 and after the revolution of 1848, the numbers 1848 - - on the reverse of the first edition, the annual figures in 1813 were 1849th This second edition was awarded until 1850. The number of winners, had to have the Prussian citizenship, was limited to 100. The order was carried in a loop of white ribbon with black borders on the left chest. The order was renewed in 1850 under King Friedrich Wilhelm IV, 1865 William I. and 1890 under William II.

On October 30, 1865 King William I created the second division of the Order, which was divided into two classes, and smaller, non-enamelled crosses possessed.
